Program Description
The 590 Crisis Program, is a 24/7/365, mobile crisis response available for anyone, anywhere, at any time in crisis.
590 can provide crisis intervention along with linkage and coordination to services. 590’s main focus is to ensure safety and stabilize the individual in crisis in the community, if possible. FSA provides this service in Kane County. 590 services are available in-person at the location of the crisis or virtual (phone or video).
590 will work cohesively with other community agencies, local hospitals, first responders and the 988 Regional Crisis Call Hubs.
Eligibility
This program will accept any age and funding source (Medicaid, MCO’s, private insurance and those who are uninsured.)
Walk-In Hours
1) Walk-in hours at FSA:
- Monday, 9am - 1pm
- Wednesday, 2pm - 6pm
- Friday, 9am - 1pm
2) Walk-in hours at Gail Borden:
- 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 11am - 3pm
3) Walk-in hours at Carpentersville Fire Dept (5000 Sleepy Hollow Rd ):
- Tuesdays, 2pm - 5pm
- Thursdays, 2pm - 5pm
Call4Calm
Call4Calm is a support line created by the State of Illinois. Participants can simply text TALK to 552020 for English or HABLAR for Spanish (Message and Data Rates May Apply). This service is free and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. People seeking assistance can remain anonymous and are only required to provide their first name and zip code, which enables the service to link them to a counselor in their area with the knowledge of available local resources.
