What is #GivingTuesday? What is #ILGive?

You have heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday but have you heard about Giving Tuesday? Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. This year it falls on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016. Hopefully you will see one of the twenty billboards that are going to go up advertising #ILGive. #ILGive is the Illinois #GivingTuesday platform to help raise awareness of the many nonprofits throughout the state and the importance of giving back. #GivingTuesday and #ILGive are both about the same day but thanks to #ILGive Illinois residents will be able to have a central location to find all their favorite organizations that are registered and have an easy way to give back.

Family Service Association is proud to be participating in this 24-hour fundraising challenge that brings nonprofits, donors, and their community together supporting a common mission; to support the spirit of giving to charitable causes.

All online donations received on Tuesday, November 29th through our #ILGive link will help FSA qualify for a matching grant donation up to $5,000 generously sponsored by the Grand Victoria Foundation. Only 24 hours to raise awareness and support the many children and teens that come to us for help. Invest in a child, help strengthen their future and ours, because the children and teens of today are our future.
