Melissa Robison brings over 20 years of experience in Special Education as a teacher, administrator, and educational leader to the board. Since graduating as a Special Education Teacher in 2004, she has also added on various additional credentials that have lent to her furthering her career as a Public and Private School Administrator. Melissa began her career in Elgin U-46, the same district she attended as a student, and where she currently is an administrator. She has worked with students from kindergarten through post-high school in both public and non-public settings, including overseeing operations and compliance for a private therapeutic day school network where she opened three campuses and developed a virtual high school program. As a proud U-46 parent of three children—each with unique educational experiences—Melissa is deeply committed to advocating for students and collaborating with families and schools to ensure access, equity, and success for all learners.
